Is your pet poisoned?

Lately, there are more and more cases of poisoning the homeless dogs and cats. Intolerance of some citizens is conducted with non-ethical measures, which, unluckily very often have lethal ends.
However, not only the homeless animals are affected. Very often, some of our dear friends – pets find the poison intended for homeless animals.

Protection from parasites

There are internal and external parasites.
The internal parasites can be found in the intestines of the animal. They harm it by using the nutritious substances from the food it takes in. In addition, they damage the mucous membrane of the intestines causing infection and diarrhea resulting in bad food resorption.

Vaccination

Why is it necessary?
There are many diseases that can impair the health of the home pets (mainly dogs and cats), and some of them can be fatal. They include: plague-distempter, parvovirosis, infective hepatitis of dogs and panleucopoenia of cats. Here, we can mention the rabies, which apart from the dogs and cats might be dangerous for the humans. Vaccination is administered as protection from such diseases.

Perssonel

Damjan Pavlovski, DVM enrolled the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Skopje in 1996. There, for the first time he was given the opportunity to cure and help animals, which invigorated his love for veterinary medicine.

He graduated in 2005. During his studies he acquired veterinarian practices not only in Macedonia, but in the neighbor countries as well – Serbia, Croatia and even in the Czech Republic (Prague), where he had a possibility to see a more professional approach and way of work in the veterinary practice.

After his graduation he worked in many veterinary clinics where he acquired knowledge from the area of the veterinary medicine for small animals. Currently he is attending the first year of specialization studies at surgery, orthopedics and ophthalmology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb, Croatia. At the same time, in Zagreb he is attending the course for electrocardiography (ECG), echocardiography and echosonography of the abdominal and reproductive organs.

ДВМ. Пацка Бошковска Paca Boshkovska, DVM graduated at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Skopje in 2007. She acquired her experience while volunteering in some veterinary clinics for small animals in Skopje.
